Supporting the NZ literary sector (Cultural Fund): Grants, workshops, and advocacy

Every year we invest in the literary sector through grants and awards that support authors, researchers, and publishers.

Our Cultural Fund provides financial support for writing projects, research, and publishing initiatives that might not otherwise get off the ground.

Copyright education

We run workshops and provide resources to help creators understand their rights. For licence holders, we provide practical guidance on making the most of your licence.

Advocacy

We push for policy that protects creators’ rights and supports the creative industries. This includes submissions to government, research into authors’ and publishers’ earnings, and advocating for fair treatment of creative work in legislation.

Our position is clear: a society that values knowledge and culture must value its creators.
